The app is available for the operating systems iOS and Android, but not for Blackberry.
But there is also a browser version available at login.washsmart.de.

Apple: iOS version 8.X or higher is supported
Android: OS 4.1 or higher is supported
Web version: for all popular and current browsers (Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer,...)

Requirements for the customer WiFi for the integration of the machine:
The existing network is a WLAN network without web browser registration (Captive Portal) or Enterprise WLAN.

WLAN requirements:

  •     WLAN 2.4 GHz Frequency band
  •     802.11 b/g/n router (802.11 a not supported)
  •     Encryption: WPA2/open network
  •     Port 433 released

All new undercounter glass- and dishwashers, hood-type and Two-Level-Washers with VISIOTRONIC-TOUCH control (innovative touch display) can be easily connected to the customer network and thus the WASHSMART app via the integrated WiFi module.

All Flight-type dishwashers with the PROTRONIC XL (option) or the INFOTRONIC control system can be easily connected to the customer network and thus to the WASHSMART APP via the integrated WLAN module or via the LAN connection.

For new orders of utensil washers (ex works) with VISIOTRONIC control, there is a connectivity kit, which can optionally be ordered for the use of WASHSMART.

The CS Rack-type dishwashers with the new ECOTRONIC control system can be connected to WASHSMART from July.

From the day of delivery of your machine from the HOBART factory, HOBART shall make available WASHSMART and all related functions for your use free of charge and for 5 years (coupled to the machine's unique serial number). After this 5-year period, the free usage period ends automatically. There are no further costs for you. HOBART or your retailer will contact you prior to the expiry of these 5 years with regard to a term extension.

You can download the WASHMSART app for free from the Android or iOS Store.

It is possible that you may incur costs for Internet use pursuant to the rate of your Internet provider.

The machine code, which you can read out here, is valid for 48 hours. Within this time the code must be entered in the WASHSMART app, otherwise you will have to request a code again.

Possibly, your dishwasher is no longer connected to the HOBART server.

There are different solutions:

  • If the dishwasher does not send any more signals, please check the status of the WiFi network in the WiFi menu! 
  • Some WiFi problems can be solved by re-starting your router by disconnecting and re-connecting the router cable.

Yes, certainly. The functions of the WASHSMART and the installed WiFi module do not affect the functionality of your dishwasher.

Questions regarding the app / Internet variant

After you (or the service technician) have connected your machine for the first time with the HOBART cloud you'll receive a code.

Please enter this code under "Register machine" in the side bar of the app.

There are critical faults, and notes. You can receive a push message in case of faults and notes. You can switch these messages on and off under settings.

Privacy Policy

The dishwasher will only transfer machine-related data such as operating data (e.g. temperatures) and machine messages (e.g. fault messages). No personal data will be transferred.

The transferred machine data (operating data and machine messages) is secure because all data will be SSL encrypted (the process used in credit card data transfer and online banking). Furthermore, the data is saved in a computer centre in Germany and is thus subject to German law.

The transferred data from your machine to the cloud is made anonymous. Only if you want to use the service for ordering consumables or service requests do you have to enter personal data in the app so that the corresponding service partner can contact you.
